Gloucester Rugby club was founded in 1874 and play their home matches at Kingsholm Park. In 2008/09 Gloucester had a somewhat disappointing season, finishing 6th in the Guinness premiership. Since winning the title in 2006/07, Gloucester have failed to regain the title finishing 3rd in 07/08 and 6th in 08/09 as mentioned above.
